Corona measures

If the Climate Classic cannot be organized on June 20 because of the corona virus, we will try to move the event to a later date later in the year. If the event is cancelled, you will receive a partial refund of your registration fee, excluding any merchandise costs. Below are the measures we as an organization will take to make the event corona-proof. It is possible that on June 20, 2022 other measures will apply to events than at this moment (1G policy for example). Of course we will keep you informed of developments.

To optimize the distribution of our participants, we work with 15-minute start times. We ask participants to come to the event site no earlier than 10 minutes before their chosen start time begins. The corona ticket will be scanned by the organization here. Are you not vaccinated? Then get tested beforehand at a Testing for Access location. One-way traffic will also be created at the start and finish area by means of crowd barriers and signs. The organization will ensure that the COVID-19 measures are followed.

It is not mandatory to keep 1.5 meters distance from each other while cycling in a group. However, we would advise our participants to do so. Participants are responsible for keeping a safe distance from other participants and road users. To make this easier, we have chosen to include mainly quiet and wide paths in the routes and to avoid traffic lights.

Refreshment stations

Along the way there will be care stations where participants can fill their water bottles and grab a banana, currant bun and granola bar. Also here there will be one-way traffic to easily keep 1.5 meters distance.

Care will be taken by the organization to comply with COVID-19 measures. Participants are asked to shower at home after the event.

Additional measures

We encourage participants to wear mouthguards at the start area, grooming stations and finish area.
